Got any grapes? This crochet pattern is perfect as a gift or to add to your own cute collection. It does require some sewing but uses basic techniques. You only need approx 8 hours and a few materials. The colours will be referenced as the ones in the pictures but you can use any colour scheme you like.

This duck is 26cm wide x 35cm long using a 4.5mm hook and 8 ply chenille velvet yarn but you can make it bigger or smaller by changing your hook size and yarn.
You can also use any colour scheme you like.
This pattern is at beginner to intermediate level. If you are a beginner and want to challenge yourself, this pattern is a great way to learn new techniques. Written in US crochet terms.

Gauge: 14 stitches by 14 rows = 4 inches (10cm)

- 🦆 8 ply chenille velvet yarn in white, yellow, green and purple.

- 🦆 15mm Safety eyes **If you are making this item for a young child, please ensure you use secure safety eyes or you can use black yarn.

Instructions
This pattern is mainly worked in continuous rounds without joining unless stated otherwise.
Use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round and move the marker up each round.
Wings (make x4)
With white yarn, create a MR.
Round 1. Sc 6 into MR (6)
Pull ring closed
Round 2. Inc 6 (12)
Round 3. (Sc, inc) x6 (18)
From here you will be working in rows
Row 1. (Sc 2, inc) x4, sc 6 (22) ch 1 & turn
Row 2. Dec, sc 4, inc (7) ch 1 & turn
Row 3. Sc 5, dec (6) ch 1 & turn
Row 4. Dec, sc 4 (5) ch 1 & turn
Row 5. Sc 3, dec (4) ch 1 & turn

Sc 30 all around the wing. Cut & tie. Sc two wings together with sc 30 and add filling a long the way lightly. Repeat with the other 2 wings so you have two stuffed wings in total.

Beak
Attach yellow yarn to corner where you made ch 14.
Round 1. Sc into same st you attached yarn, sc 14, sc into corner, sc 14 (30)
Round 2. – Round 3. (2 rounds) Sc 30 (30)
Round 4. (Sc 4, dec) x5 (25)
Round 5. (Sc 3, dec) x5 (20)
Round 6. (Sc 2, dec) x5 (15)
Round 7. Sc 15 (15)
Round 8. (Sc, dec) x5 (10)
Stuff lightly. Sl st 2, close beak through both sides with sc 5.
Cut & tie. Weave in ends.
Add eyes now if you haven’t already. With white yarn and a tapestry needle, thread through behind the eyes and pull to create eye indents.
With pink yarn and a tapestry needle, add blush across sc 2 on cheeks.
With yellow yarn and tapestry needle across 2 rounds, make eyebrows above each eye.
Then, thread through the top of the head (round 6) and make 2 loops with yellow yarn and wrap around the bottom of the loops to fix in place. (see pictures) Tie and hide in ends.
Take a tapestry needle and sew the head and body together through each sc (24 total) and add stuffing to the body/neck along the way so that the head is supported.
Dungarees
With yellow yarn, ch 30, sl st into first ch to make a ring, make sure not to twist the chains.
Round 1. Sc into same ch where sl st is, sc 29 (30)
Round 2. – Round 3. (2 rounds) Sc 30 (30)
Sl st, cut and tie.
Repeat the instructions so that you have 2. Do not cut and tie on the second leg and join together with sc 5 exactly like you did with the legs.

Round 4. Sc 25 around first leg, inc into sc joining legs together, sc 25 around second leg, inc into sc joining legs together (54)

Round 6. Sc 20, ch 12, skip 12 sc, sc 22 (54)

Sl st, cut & tie. Weave in ends.
Count 9 sc on each side from your sl st and place stitch markers on both sides, should be 18sc in-between each marker. Adjust if you need so that the markers are placed evenly on each side.
We are going to work in rows from here. Attach yellow yarn to sc where the right marker is.
Row 1. Sc into same st, sc 17 (18) ch 1 & turn
Row 2. Dec, sc 14, dec (16) ch 1 & turn
Row 3. Sc 16 (16) sc 1 & turn
Row 4. Dec, sc 12, dec (14) ch 1 & turn
Row 5. Sc 14 (14) ch 1 & turn
Row 6. Dec, sc 10, dec (12) ch 1 & turn
Row 7. Sc 12 (12) ch 1 & turn
Row 8. Dec, sc 8, dec (10) ch 1 & turn
Row 9. Sc 10 (10)
Ch 16, starting from 2nd ch FTH sc 15. Skip sc from row 9 where you made the first ch and sl st into the next sc 9 across row 9.
Ch 16, starting 2nd ch FTH sc 15, sl st into sc where you made first ch.
Cut & tie. Weave in ends.
Grapes
With purple yarn, make MR
Round 1. Sc 4 into MR (4)
Pull ring closed, sl st. Cut & tie, leave some yarn for sewing. Make 9 of these.
The leaves will be worked in rows. Starting with green yarn, ch 3.
Row 1. Starting 2nd ch FTH sc 2 (2) ch 1 & turn
Row 2. Sc 2 (2) ch 1 & turn
Row 3. Dec (1)
Sl st, cut & tie. Leave some yarn for sewing Make 6 of leaves (3 will be used for the grape vine in the next section)
Sew your grapes onto the dungarees in groups of 3, in a triangle shape. Sew one leaf on the top of each group.
Dress your duck in the dungarees and sew the straps to the back.
Grape vine for wing (Make x6)
With purple yarn, MR
Round 1. Sc 4 into MR (4)
Pull ring closed
Round 2. Inc 4 (8)
Round 3. Sc 8 (8)
Round 4. Dec 4 (4)
Crochet through both sides with sc 2 to close.
Cut & tie. Weave in ends.
Take some yarn and sew your grapes together to make a vine. Add the three leaves to the top. Then take some white yarn and add reflection details to the grapes.
Sew the grape vine onto the ducks wing.
