Round 20. (Sc 3, dec) x8 (32)

Round 21. (Sc 2, dec) x8 (24)

Sl st, cut and tie leaving some yarn for sewing

Place eyes between rounds 12 & 13 with 8 sc in-between

Add filling tightly, once done, take a little more stuffing and stuff  under the eyes to create some shape for the cheeks.

Take a tapestry needle and sew around the head and body sewing them together through each sc (24 total) and add stuffing to the body/neck along the way so that the head is supported.

You won’t be working in continuous rounds for this section, ch 1 & turn to determine each round

Leave some yarn before your first ch for sewing onto the head.

With white yarn, ch 5

Row 1. Starting at the 2nd ch FTH, sc 4, ch 1 & turn (4)

Row 2. – Row 3. (2 rows) Sc 4, ch 1 & turn (4)

Row 4. Inc, sc 2, inc, ch 1 & turn (6)

Row 5. – Row 8. (4 rows) Sc 6, ch 1 & turn

Row 28. Dec, sc 4, dec, ch 1 & turn (6)

Row 29. Dec, sc 2, dec, ch 1 & turn (4)

Row 30. Dec 2 (2)

Row 5. – Row 8. (4 rows) Sc 6, ch 1 & turn

Now you will sc all around the ear but inc on each corner, so sc again into the same stitch you did the last dec, sc 30, sc into same st, sc 4, sc into same st, sc 30 down the opposite side, you won’t increase here, you will just sl st into next st.

Cut and tie, weave in the end.

Add your ears between round 4 and 5 of the head on each side. Using a tapestry needle, take the tail you left on the top of the ear and sew through the first sc of the ear to the head, pull the needle underneath 2 sc and pull up in the next sc, finish by putting through the other end of the ear, this should create some volume for the ear and essentially you are missing 2 sc on the ear and the head. Repeat again to make the ear more sturdy. Tie a knot and hide ends.

Blush: take pink yarn and a tapestry needle and make a horizontal line 3 rows down from the eyes across 1 sc on either side of the face. Nose: make a horizontal line 1 round down from the eyes in the middle of the face across 2 sc and repeat. Make a Vertical line going from the middle of the nose across 1 sc. Tie a knot and hide ends. (See picture)

Ch 30, sl st into first ch to make a ring, make sure not to twist the chains.

You will be working in continuous rounds again, place marker in the first st of first round.

Move your stitch marker to the first st of the next round.

Round 14. (Sc 7, dec) x6 (48)

Round 15. – Round 16. (2 rounds) Sc 48 (48)

Sl st, cut and tie

Count 17 sc from your sl st and attach the pink yarn here.

We are not going to work in continuous rounds from here, you will ch 1 and turn to determine each round.

Row 17. Ch 1, sc into same st, sc 15, ch 1 & turn (16)

Row 18. – Row 19. (2 rows) Sc 16, ch 1 & turn (16)
